Automotive Tracking & Security App

An innovative digital tool that utilizes car data for increased security and awareness.

The data a car can provide - GPS location, acceleration, braking, and more - can now be harnessed to provide complete awareness and protection to families. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, I partnered with a company to create a mobile app that brings together this awareness and security to bring peace of mind to families.

As a starting point, I worked to build and maintain a detailed information architecture map that served as a living document, and helped the design team, client stakeholders, and development partner work through flows and make decisions.

I was tasked with developing the first point of entry and moment of establishing trust - the onboarding experience. Considering the user meant considering families, and their dynamics. The audience would be both adults and teenagers, which meant that onboarding had to be effortless, intuitive, and flexible.

Utilizing intuitive sign up and referral patterns streamlined the process, and pulling pre-populated information got the user set up and into the app quickly. 

Both high-fidelity wireframes and initial visual mock-ups helped our client see the vision and aided in buy-in from all stakeholders.
